What better place to gather on a crisp, clear fall day than your own backyard. And if it is filled with trees bearing the colors of fall – that’s even better. Whether you’re sitting on the patio drinking your morning coffee as the sun rises, or toasting the day’s end in the warm glow of a fire pit, there’s nothing better than spending time outside in the fall! Here’s where we gather – lots of pictures, less commentary.
The Colors of Fall
To me fall is the most colorful season of all! That’s why I let nature do the decorating for me! The day I took these pictures was simply gorgeous! The way the sunlight was filtering through the colorful leaves on the trees was simply magnificent! The camera does not do the scenery justice.
Outdoor Living Spaces
I love being outside and enjoy making my outdoor living spaces as inviting and comfortable as the ones inside my home.
These summertime ferns were still thriving, so I surrounded them with mums and pumpkins and created this little fall vignette in a mulched area adjacent to the fire pit.
Gathering Around the Fire Pit
When it’s time to relax at the end of the day or to get some inspiration first thing in the morning, what better place to be than sitting on the patio enjoying this mild fall weather we have been having? Or maybe it’s Saturday afternoon and you’re tossing the football around, why not take a break and enjoy some hot chocolate around the fire pit – with or without an actual fire. Such a great place to spend time with family and friends! Or alone, snuggled in a blanket, sipping coffee, and reading your favorite magazine.
So there you have it folks! I hope these photos bring a little bit of fall into your day and provide some inspiration on ways you can get out and enjoy your outdoor spaces this fall. During this season of gathering with family and friends, make sure you take time to reflect on what you are thankful for and what makes you happy.
